Well done to all students who attended the final EPRO8 challenge at Flaxmere Primary. Well done to the Panthers who won the trophy! 

The Minstrel's1000th show. Havelock North Primary

The Minstrel visited today and sang lots of songs, was really funny and taught us some really good information like: 

Using a towel when picking up fish. 

Taking ice for your chilli bin to keep your fish fresh. 

Teach adults water safety. Wear a life jacket when going on the water. 

If an adult tells you to wear a life jacket ask them nicely to wear one as well.

Putting the undersized fish back as well as really big fish back so they can breed. 

Put salt water fish in salt ice.

Don't put salt water fish in fresh water because it starts to go off.

Seabirds are a good sign that there is fish in that area. Put bigger sinkers on your line so it sinks to the bottom before birds can eat it. Save our seabirds!

I’ve been meaning to email you all to say a HUGE thanks for all the books you collected a few weeks back which we received

for our Gala.

Your enthusiasm in saving all the books from going in the rubbish, was fantastic and we were very happy when we saw them all arrive in Mrs Dixons car.

We had thousands of books to sell. The book stall made $2400 on Gala Day and a big part of that total was thanks to the awesome pupils of Room 4 J
