On Thursday we went to the Faraday Centre. We learnt about lots of different things, such as the Van de Graaff Static Electricity Generator. It gave us electric shocks! Most of us found it super scary, but the rest of us didn't really mind.
There was also an activity where we used a magnet to move iron sand. Mrs Te Whaiti made a rooster with it!But best of all was the Tesler Coil. It made purple lightning! Well, sort of. Apparently it was a failed experiment, but they still use it anyway. We had to cover our ears because it was so loud.
We had a really great day, but everyone was exhausted afterwards!
