Heavy Water

Today we wanted to see if salt water makes items float more than fresh water.
We got
2 eggs
2 glasses
Salt
Food coloring

In one glass we put fresh water and an egg. The egg sunk to the bottom.
In the other glass we put water and salt until it had reached saturation point. Then we added food coloring and carefully put the egg in and topped the water up to the top. The egg floated!!

This clearly shows that the food colouring has nothing to do with the egg floating.
